How the calculation works
The six events are the three-repetition maximum deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-up, sprint-drag-carry, plank and two-mile run. Each converts to a 0–100 score using the published scoring tables, giving a 600-point maximum. Scoring is age- and sex-normed under the current standards, so the raw performance needed for 60 points varies by scoring group.
Because the pass condition is per event, training should target the weakest event rather than the total. Soldiers commonly bank points on the deadlift and lose the test on the two-mile run or the sprint-drag-carry, which is the most anaerobically demanding event. The plank replaced the leg tuck as the core event, and it is scored on hold time with strict body-line standards — a broken position ends the event where it stands.

Worked example
Deadlift 230 lb, power throw 9.1 m, 32 push-ups, SDC 1:48, plank 2:40, two-mile 15:30.
- Deadlift ≈ 78, power throw ≈ 72, push-ups ≈ 76.
- Sprint-drag-carry ≈ 82, plank ≈ 72.
- Two-mile run ≈ 68.
- All six clear 60.
About 448 of 600 with no event below the minimum — a comfortable pass with the run as the weak point.
